About This Event

The Word marks the start of the festive season with a performance of Charles Dickens's classic A Christmas Carol, following miser Ebenezer Scrooge through his ghostly night of reckoning. The afternoon staging is suited to families and Dickens enthusiasts alike. The event takes place in the library building beside South Shields Market Place. Tickets are available to book online ahead of the performance.
