The Word marks 90 years since the Jarrow March with an evening talk revisiting one of the defining events of 1930s Britain, when around 200 men marched from Jarrow to London to protest unemployment and poverty. A free, hour-long talk at South Shields' striking riverside centre for the written word; booking required.
