The volunteer-run Lakeshore Railroad marks the August bank holiday with its traditional two-train service, bringing both Adiela and Mountaineer into steam to carry passengers on miniature trains around the boating lake in South Marine Park. It is a nostalgic, low-cost treat for families. Trains run from around 10:30am to 6pm, weather permitting. A small fare applies per ride — turn up on the day.
