About 15th South Shields Scout Group

The 15th South Shields Scout Group serves the Harton area of the town and is part of South Tyneside Scouts. It meets at St Peter's Church Hall on Sunderland Road, in the heart of Harton Village, and offers the range of Scouting sections by age, giving local children the chance to try activities from crafts and games to camping, hiking and teamwork. Weekly meetings run during term time, with a wider programme of camps, days out and community events across the year. As with all Scout groups, places depend on the goodwill of adult volunteers, and busy sections may have waiting lists, so early registration is sensible. Families can find the group, check which sections have space and register through the national Scouts join page or the South Tyneside Scouts website. The group is always glad to hear from adults willing to help, and no previous experience is needed as full training and support are provided.
