Sunday Sessions with Jen Stevens returns to The Word in South Shields, with the December date falling on Sunday 6 December 2026 from 1pm to 3pm. The sessions bring live acoustic music into the bright atrium of the National Centre for the Written Word for a relaxed weekend afternoon. The free, drop-in format makes it an easy outing for all ages, whether settling in to listen with a coffee or pausing between browsing the library and exhibitions. The series runs across the winter and spring, with regular dates continuing into 2027. Entry is free and no booking is required. The Word sits in the Market Place in central South Shields, close to the Metro and riverside.
