About This Event

South Shields Museum's Wellness Weekends celebrate the loan of Pierre Mignard's The Marquise de Seignelay (1691) through the National Gallery Masterpiece Tour. This Saturday's drop-in Open Studio craft session (11.30am to 3pm in the learning room) is Fan Fare, making a fan from card and lolly sticks, and children and adults are welcome with no booking needed. Earlier in the morning there is a free 30-minute Slow Looking session at 10.20am, a guided, mindful look at the painting followed by sensory activities, limited to ten people and bookable in advance. A separate free qigong class runs at 9.30am.
