About De Giorgio

De Giorgio is a traditional, award-winning family butcher on Front Street in the village of Cleadon. The business was founded in 1978 by Steven De Giorgio, who opened his first shop in South Shields at the age of nineteen after learning the trade locally, and acquired the Cleadon shop in 1997. Now trading for more than forty years, it supplies high-quality, locally sourced meat and produce, including dry-aged beef, lamb, pork, poultry, game, bacon and its own sausages and burgers, alongside pies, deli items and pantry goods. The business is Red Tractor certified and holds a five-star food hygiene rating.
