About Ocean Road Community Centre

Ocean Road Centre is a community facility and registered charity in South Shields, supporting the local community with activities, sport and fitness classes, arts and crafts and youth work. Its programme spans dance, tai chi, yoga, zumba and staying-active sessions, creative workshops, social groups such as a local walking group, and youth activities including rock climbing. The centre houses a youth centre welcoming young people interested in sport, dance and social groups, plus a cafe serving hot and cold drinks alongside homemade scones, pies and cakes, and rooms available for hire. It also offers adult learning classes in numeracy, literacy, ICT and English speaking.
