Hogarths in South Shields is a grand Victorian-style gin palace on Mile End Road, occupying an open-plan corner building decorated with chandeliers and a long, fully stocked bar. It stocks more than 120 different gins, each served with careful attention to garnish and botanicals, alongside a wide range of cocktails and drinks. Private booth seating and quieter nooks sit beside more spacious areas fitted with flat-screen televisions for sport, and booths can be pre-hired on match days with table service. The bar also offers gin-sharing trays and gin masterclasses, and takes on a livelier atmosphere in the evenings.
