About The Chameleon Late Lounge

The Chameleon Late Lounge is an intimate late-night cocktail bar on Claypath Lane in South Shields, occupying a revamped downstairs space at The Maltings and run by pub operator Glen Winlow. Previously closed to the public, the room was refurbished to give visitors the chance to experience two different bars under one roof. It serves a range of cocktails and lagers, with a late-night DJ on weekends, and holds a five-star Google rating. The lounge opens from the late afternoon on Thursdays and Fridays and from the early afternoon at weekends, offering a stylish setting for evening drinks in the town.
