About The Wouldhave

The Wouldhave is a Wetherspoon pub on Mile End Road in South Shields town centre, named after William Wouldhave, the local boat-builder commemorated at the Pier Head for his part in inventing the self-righting lifeboat. In keeping with the Wetherspoon format it offers well-priced cask ales and affordable food, with a licensed outdoor seating area. Facilities include free Wi-Fi, TV screens, baby-changing and step-free access. Children under 18 are welcome until 9pm.
