FabLab: Make Your Own Bedroom Door Name Plate, the Word
A FabLab making session for ages 8–12 to design and produce a personalised bedroom door name plate at The Word.
About This Event
Children design their own name plate on the computer and then produce it using the FabLab's cutting equipment, ending the session with a finished, personalised sign to hang on their bedroom door. It is a hands-on introduction to designing something on screen and turning it into a real object to keep. The session runs in The Word's FabLab makerspace in South Shields, home to vinyl and laser cutters, 3D printers and more. It is aimed at ages 8–12 with all materials provided; booking is through The Word.
