About This Event
Free guided tour of Arbeia Roman Fort led by knowledgeable volunteer guides. Explore the reconstructed gatehouse and commanding officer's house, learn about the massive granary complex that provisioned the Roman army along Hadrian's Wall, and discover what daily life was like at this frontier outpost nearly two millennia ago. Tours last approximately one hour. Entry to the fort is free; donations welcome.
