A beginner-friendly 3D modelling workshop for ages 8–12 using Tinkercad at The Word.
About This Event
Tinkercad is a free, browser-based 3D design tool that lets you build models by combining and reshaping simple blocks, and it is a natural first step into design for 3D printing. In this session at The Word, children learn the basics of the software and create their own 3D model, with guidance from the FabLab team. Held in The Word's digital classroom in South Shields, the workshop suits ages 8–12 and assumes no prior experience. It pairs well with the FabLab's other holiday sessions for young makers.
