About This Event
The Word, South Shields' striking National Centre for the Written Word, runs free drop-in music-themed arts and crafts through the summer holidays. Aimed at ages 5 and up, it is an easy, no-booking way to fill an hour or two. The building itself is worth the visit, with its spiral of shelves, FabLab and views over the Market Place, plenty to explore once the crafting is done.
