About This Event

Physical computing means bringing code to life in the real world, and in this summer-holiday session at The Word children use Crumble controllers, a simple, robust electronics board designed for young makers, to wire up motors, lights and sensors and program them to do something. It is a gentle, hands-on introduction to how the digital instructions on a screen translate into things that move, flash and respond. Run in The Word's digital classroom in South Shields, sessions like this are pitched at ages 8–12 and need no prior experience; everything is provided on the day. Booking is through The Word's website.
