Colmans Seafood Temple
Fish restaurant, cocktail bar, and oyster bar on the South Shields seafront with panoramic sea views. The fine-dining sibling of the Colmans empire.
About Colmans Seafood Temple
Colmans Seafood Temple is the fine-dining sibling of the long-established Colmans fish and chip business, opened in 2017 on Sea Road on the South Shields seafront. Set in a striking art deco-inspired building, it combines a seafood restaurant with a cocktail bar and oyster bar, and its panoramic windows offer sweeping views across the coastline. The kitchen serves fish and chips alongside sustainably sourced seafood including cod, haddock, lemon sole and king scallops, with the family emphasising local fishermen and low-impact fishing methods. Online ordering for collection is available, and the Colmans name also operates a site at Fenwick in Newcastle.
